Dozens of passionate new teachers have been celebrated as they graduated from Futura Learning Partnership’s Early Career Teachers (ECT) programme, marking a proud milestone in their journey into the teaching profession.

The graduation ceremony, held at Clevedon School, brought together mentors, headteachers, and senior leaders from across the trust’s family of schools in Somerset and Bristol.

The event honoured the dedication, growth, and achievements of the latest cohort of ECTs, who have completed their transformational two-year induction programme.

This year’s graduates represent a wide network of schools across the region—from Bristol to Bridgwater, and Keynsham to Clevedon.

Primary schools included Bridge Farm, The Meadows, Chandag Primary, Two Rivers, Chestnut Park, Westover Green, Willowdown, Four Acres, Woolavington, Yeo Moor, Mary Elton, Puriton Primary, and St Nicholas’ Chantry. Secondary schools represented were Wellsway School, Bedminster Down School (BDS), Clevedon School, Chilton Trinity, IKB Academy, and SBL Academy.

Reflecting on her experience, Anna Percival, an ECT at BDS, said:

“The training and guidance I have received over the last two years have transformed my practice immensely. I would like to personally thank my mentor Rebecca Beasley-Suffolk and ECT lead Claire Hobbs for their incredible support.”
Hannah Evans, ECT at SBL Academy, added: “My excellent mentor, combined with the easy-to-follow learning materials, made my ECT induction a highly enjoyable and productive experience.”

Viv Wadsley, who leads the ECT programme across Futura, praised the cohort’s commitment and potential:

“It’s been an absolute joy and privilege to walk alongside these brilliant individuals on their journey into teaching.
“Our celebration is more than a graduation—it’s a declaration that the future of education is in safe, passionate, and inspiring hands.
“Really well done to every single one of our new teachers—they will be changing lives every single day.
“Our ECTs are the beating heart of the future of education. They’ve stepped into teaching at one of the most important times in modern education—bringing fresh energy, innovative ideas, and deep care for their pupils. We’re incredibly proud of every single one of them.”
