There’s a suspicious new arrival at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm this summer—and he’s not quite what he seems.

Visitors to the award-winning zoo and conservation charity near Bristol will be greeted by a mischievous new resident: Feathers McGraw, the villainous penguin from the beloved Wallace & Gromit films, now starring in his most colourful disguise yet… a tropical toucan.

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is proud to be participating in Gromit Unleashed 3, the hotly anticipated public arts trail organised by The Grand Appeal, the official charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with Aardman.

The Zoo’s sculpture, named Toucan Tango, was designed by none other than Nick Park, creator of Wallace & Gromit, and promises to be a mustsee highlight of the trail.

Toucan Tango spent the morning exploring the Zoo and meeting its iconic residents including African Lions, Elephants and Red Ruffed Lemurs before nesting down at the Zoo’s brand-new beach - Toucan Bay, located just outside the Farm Shop (next to the Zoo’s free car park and a short walk from the Noah’s Ark bus stop.)

With deck chairs, palm trees, and plenty of photo ops, it’s the perfect pit stop before a wild day out at the Zoo.

“Feathers McGraw is an iconic fan favourite, and we’re thrilled to showcase a sculpture designed by Nick Park himself!” said Larry Bush, CEO at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm.
“Gromit Unleashed 3 is not only a fun day out but a vital fundraiser supporting children and families at Bristol Children’s Hospital. We’re honoured to be involved—and we hope our Toucan Bay beach does Feathers proud!”

Helen Haskell, Head of Fundraising – Corporate at The Grand Appeal, added

"We’re so excited to see Toucan Tango take flight at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm this summer as part of Gromit Unleashed 3. The support from our sponsors, such as Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, helps us make a real difference for sick children and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital. Plus, we’re thrilled to see Toucan Tango settle into his new home in style!"

Gromit Unleashed 3 runs from 30 June to 31 August 2025, featuring 53 uniquely designed sculptures of Wallace, Gromit, Feathers McGraw, Norbot and Shaun the Sheep scattered across Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Trail-goers can pick up a free printed map or download the official app to track their sculpture-spotting progress.
