Greene King’s Tub2Pub Recycling Campaign Returns in 2026
By Charities Correspondent
Greene King’s popular Tub2Pub recycling campaign is set to return in January 2026, encouraging communities across the UK to recycle plastic tubs while raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Following a hugely successful 2025 campaign, which saw more than 240,000 plastic tubs collected and £10,916 raised for the cancer charity, Greene King is aiming to beat that total next year with the help of customers and local communities.
From 1 January to 15 February 2026, people can drop off their clean, empty confectionery, biscuit and cracker tubs at participating Greene King pubs, restaurants and hotels.
Tubs can be handed directly to a member of staff at the bar or welcome desk.
The campaign comes at a time when tens of millions of plastic tubs are sold in the UK every year, particularly over the festive period. Through Tub2Pub, these plastics are given a second life rather than going to waste.
All collected tubs are sent to a specialist reprocessing centre, where they are shredded and sold on to manufacturers to be reused instead of virgin plastic.
Every penny raised from the sale of the recycled plastic is donated directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping fund specialist care, information and practical support for people affected by cancer.
Customers are also encouraged to share their recycling efforts on social media using #Tub2Pub.
