Hundreds of students and staff show support for Ukraine by raising £1200 in non-uniform day

The King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge, Somerset organised a dress down day to show support for Ukraine.

Students aged 11-18 and staff donated £1 and wore blue and yellow items of clothing – the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

They raised £1200 in one day.

Principal Dan Milford said: “It was wonderful to see hundreds of students and staff dressed in yellow and blue, and raising money for such a fantastic cause.”

Schools are showing their support for Ukraine by organising sponsored activities and events to raise donations to help refugees.

TKASA is part of The Priory Learning Trust. All their schools have been showing support for Ukraine.
