Local Partnership Aims to Boost Lifesaving Confidence Across Bristol and Weston-super-Mare
By Josh Bell, Charities Correspondent
A new community partnership between Donate For Defib Weston-super-Mare and University of Bristol Medical Students is giving local residents the chance to play a key role in lifesaving research.
The collaboration focuses on understanding the barriers to performing CPR and using defibrillators during cardiac arrests, aiming to improve public confidence and response across the region.
As part of their dissertation project, the medical students are asking the Bristol and Weston communities to take part in a short, anonymous survey — and every response could make a real difference.
“We’re thrilled to support this important piece of research,” said the team at Donate For Defib. “Community voices are at the heart of everything we do, and this survey is a fantastic opportunity to help shape future public health initiatives that save lives.”

The survey is completely confidential and takes only a few minutes to complete.

Donate For Defib Weston-super-Mare continues to lead efforts to make defibrillators accessible to all, alongside vital awareness campaigns that encourage the public to act with confidence in emergencies.
The team is encouraging everyone to complete the survey and share it with friends, family, and colleagues to help spread this important message.
Together, we can make our communities stronger, safer, and more prepared — because every second counts when it comes to saving a life.
