Royal Sands Community Unites for Lifesaving CPR and Defibrillation Awareness

By Josh Bell, Charities and Schools Correspondent
The Donate For Defib Weston-super-Mare Project made another valuable community connection this week, as members were warmly welcomed by the Royal Sands Community Group for a CPR and Early Defibrillation Awareness presentation.
Over coffee, cake, and plenty of smiles, 25 residents took part in the interactive session, learning the vital skills that form part of the Chain of Survival — essential knowledge that can mean the difference between life and loss.
The event was filled with enthusiasm and community spirit, reflecting the shared goal of making Weston-super-Mare a truly “Resus-Ready” town.
Residents also showed their generosity, raising £55 in donations to support the ongoing work of the Donate For Defib project.
Adding a touch of charm to the morning, Maya the Defib Dog made a new friend — Henry — as the pair captured hearts and helped raise awareness of the importance of defibrillators in saving lives.
