Students Come Together to Support Those in Need in Bristol
By Clevedon School Good News Room, Year 13 Shoebox Appeal Team
Following assemblies that focused on raising awareness about the reality of war and conflict, Clevedon School students assembled over 100 Christmas boxes for asylum seekers in Bristol.
Sixth form students then met just before Christmas at the Bristol Hospitality Network (BHN) with the boxes.
BHN works for asylum seekers facing destitution by sourcing hostel accommodation and creating community engagement across Bristol.
The atmosphere at the centre was buzzing as gifts were given out to all ages. Everyone was happy and welcoming.
It was a privilege to be part of such a community event.
