Thousands of serving Armed Forces personnel and military veterans will be able to enjoy a free breakfast at Tesco cafés this weekend to mark Armed Forces Day.

On Sunday, June 28, Tesco will offer a free hot breakfast at 335 of its cafés across the UK to serving members of the Armed Forces who present a valid MOD90 identification card. Veterans can also claim the offer by showing a valid Veteran's ID card.

The free meal includes a choice of The Breakfast, The Veggie Breakfast, The Vegan Breakfast, a Bacon Bap, Sausage Bap, Egg Bap or Veggie Bap.

Tesco says it has handed out more than 7,800 free breakfasts since launching the initiative in 2022 as a way of recognising the contribution of serving personnel and veterans.

Ashwin Prasad, Tesco UK chief executive, said the offer was a small way of thanking members of the Armed Forces community for their service.

The supermarket says it remains one of the UK's largest private sector employers of military veterans and recently renewed its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, alongside a three-year partnership with Help for Heroes.

The offer is available at participating Tesco cafés on Armed Forces Day only. Customers are advised to check in advance whether their nearest store has a café before travelling.
