Staff at Walliscote Primary School in Weston-super-Mare have been supporting local families this winter by putting together “heat parcels” to help keep them warm during the colder months.

The parcels, which include hats and gloves for both adults and children, were offered to families who needed a little extra support over the winter period.

One parent said: “We’re so grateful to Walliscote for helping families to keep warm this Christmas. It really does feel like we’re a real Walliscote family.”

Walliscote Primary School is part of the Extend Learning Academies Network (ELAN), which brings together a number of primary schools and nurseries across North Somerset, including Banwell, Bournville, Locking, Oldmixon, Mead Vale, Mendip Green, Milton Park, Walliscote and Windwhistle.
