Weston-super-Mare Primary School Praised in Latest Ofsted Inspection
By Education Correspondent
Milton Park Primary School in Weston-super-Mare has received positive feedback from Ofsted inspectors, who praised the school's inclusive culture, strong leadership and effective safeguarding arrangements.
The inspection, carried out in March 2026, found that pupils learn in a safe and welcoming environment where they feel supported and valued.
Inspectors highlighted the school's calm atmosphere and said pupils enjoy learning, behave well and build positive relationships with staff.
The report also recognised the school's work supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), noting that pupils are fully included in school life and are thriving within the school's specialist provision.
Inspectors praised the school's broad curriculum, which is supported by a range of activities, clubs and educational experiences outside the classroom.
Popular activities include chess and multi-skills clubs, while pupils were also commended for their charity fundraising efforts and awareness of wider social issues.
Early years provision was highlighted as a particular strength, with inspectors noting that younger children develop strong social skills through both learning and play.

Headteacher Katharine Jordan welcomed the findings, saying staff were proud that Ofsted had recognised the caring and inclusive environment created across the school.
The report confirmed that safeguarding arrangements are effective and that pupils feel safe and confident raising concerns when needed.
