Young athletes earn England U18 rugby trial nominations

Students at Worle Community School Academy (WCSA) in Weston-super-Mare are celebrating a superb sporting success after two students were selected for national rugby trials.

Holly and Bella have both been nominated to trial for the England Rugby Under-18 PDG squad — placing them among the country’s most promising young athletes.

The achievement reflects their dedication, resilience and passion for their sport, built through countless hours of hard work both on and off the field.

Headteacher Mark Tidman said:

“Their commitment both on and off the field is a brilliant example to their peers, showing what can be achieved through hard work, focus and belief in your own potential.
“We are super proud of them and the entire WCSA community is behind them, cheering them on as they continue to pursue their goals with determination and passion.”

WCSA is an inspirational school with an ethos of a proud community working for every student to the very best they can.

Worle Community School Academy is the founding home of Jill Dando News, established in 2016, where student reporters continue to write real-life news stories in the style and memory of former student and BBC television presenter Jill Dando.
