Alfie is a singer-songwriter who has cerebral palsy and a visual impairment. He has two Chihuahuas called Tyson and Dolly, and he’s also a Chelsea fan. Alfie currently performs at various care homes across the Kent area.

Alfie’s family was told at birth that he might never walk. However, with determination, courage, and constant support from friends and family, he achieved this goal after undergoing two operations.

By the age of six, Alfie was walking.

Cerebral palsy has a significant impact on his leg muscles. As a child, Alfie had to wear leg splints, but through hard work and regular exercise, he now walks without them — something he has managed to do for around ten years.

However, if Alfie didn’t keep up his exercise routine, walking would become much more difficult, as the muscles in his legs tighten due to cerebral palsy.

Alfie has been singing for as long as he can remember. He recalls taking part in many singing activities from a young age, including choirs and various performances.

He began writing songs at 17 and achieved his first radio play last year on BBC Introducing with a song he wrote about his journey called “Being Myself.”

Alfie wrote the song in response to criticism he received on social media, wanting to send the message that you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it.

He began busking just before the lockdowns and still enjoys performing on the streets from time to time. Alfie now sings regularly in care homes and shares his music on social media, something he absolutely loves. What has led him to this point is his refusal to ever give up.

Alfie appeared on The Michael McIntyre Show, which he describes as the best experience of his life. A huge fan of EA FC, Alfie was told he was visiting a gaming centre to try out a new game.

After scoring a goal in a gaming booth, the wall suddenly dropped, revealing an audience of 2,000 people at the Theatre Royal.

During the show, Alfie also met his football hero, Frank Lampard — Chelsea’s all-time leading goal scorer.

After the show aired, the response was incredible, with various media outlets, including This Morning, reaching out. It was a dream come true for Alfie and something he had proudly featured on his vision board.

Alfie’s positive message to the world is simple: you don’t have to do a job you don’t love.

If you have a dream, follow it — and if you ever think you can’t, think again. Remember, you can be anything you want to be in the world.
