Ellie and Lizzie were just two of the students who took part in the Bath Literary festival this year.

Students from Year 7-13 had their work selected and commented on by award winning children’s author, Lu Hersey, who was the author and adjudicator.

The students met at the Citadel in Bath which is close to the town centre where they were invited to read out their work to an audience of parents, friends and teachers.

"It was tense reading out our work but also fun. Liz made some good comments on all our creative writing" said Hazel.
"I won the cup for my monologue called “Flowers” which was a dystopian fantasy".
