Families Invited to Ukrainian Storytelling Celebration in Weston
By Community Correspondent
Families in Weston-super-Mare are being invited to a special event celebrating Ukrainian culture through stories, creativity and community.
The Ukraine Family Storytelling Event will take place on 7 March from 10am to 2pm at The Campus at Locking Castle and Locking Family Hub and Library in Highlands Lane.
Organised with support from North Somerset Council and Family Hubs UK, the event will bring together families to enjoy traditional Ukrainian folk tales and storytelling.
Stories will be shared in English, Ukrainian and Makaton, and will also be brought to life through puppet performances to help children of all ages join in.
There will also be a range of creative activities for young visitors, including postcard writing, plasticine model making, and arts and crafts inspired by Ukrainian stories.

Light refreshments will be available during the event.
Organisers say the event is designed to be welcoming for families while celebrating Ukrainian culture and helping communities come together through storytelling and creativity.
The event is open to all families who would like to enjoy stories, crafts and a friendly atmosphere.
