An inquisitive llama has discovered a giant storybook at London Zoo as a new Winnie-the-Pooh adventure trail opens for autumn half-term.

Seven-foot-tall storybook in front of Llama Ande marks the first stop on A Little Boy and his Bear: A Storybook Adventure Trail, which invites visitors to follow Winnie-the-Pooh and Eeyore on a nighttime adventure through the Zoo.

Inspired by Jane Riordan’s new book, Winnie-the-Pooh: A Little Boy and His Bear, published by HarperCollins, the trail celebrates the special connection between London Zoo and the much-loved bear.

The original Winnie was an American black bear who lived at the Zoo from 1914 and inspired the name of A.A. Milne’s famous character.

The trail also marks two major milestones: the 100th anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh and the 200th anniversary of international conservation charity ZSL, which operates London Zoo.

Running until Sunday 1 November 2026, the trail is included with Zoo admission. Visitors can find out more and book tickets at londonzoo.org.
