Metamorphosis into beautiful butterfly at Busy Bees to celebrate World Book Day

By Jill Dando News

Students and staff at the Busy Bees at St Anne’s Church Academy in Weston-super-Mare are already celebrating World Book Day.

Enthusiastic students and staff from across The Priory Learning Trust in Somerset have been dressing as their favourite characters from literature.

A spokesperson said today, “The Busy Bees have been very excited to share their favourite book and character with their friends.

“We even had a metamorphosis with the Hungry Caterpillar turning into a beautiful butterfly!”

World Book Day is a charity that promotes reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the chance to have a book of their own.

It says reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income.
