On 23rd October, in the hall of Priory Community School, students discovered what this year’s big show would be and when auditions would take place.

‘Back to the 80s’
Concept:
Genre: A jukebox musical featuring popular hits from the 1980s.
Plot: The story offers a comedic look at high school life through the eyes of Corey Palmer, now in his 30s, as he reminisces about his senior year, his unrequited love for Tiffany Houston, and the antics of his friends and classmates.
Setting: Inspired by classic 80s films such as Back to the Future and The Karate Kid, the show captures the decade’s culture, fashion, and music.
Cast: With 17 major roles, characters include Corey Palmer, Tiffany Houston, Michael Feldman, and Feargal McFerrin III, supported by an energetic ensemble.
Music: Expect a high-energy soundtrack of 80s favourites, featuring songs by artists such as Wham!, Bonnie Tyler, and The B-52s.
Production: The show embraces iconic 80s style—big hair, blue eyeshadow, and even a Star Wars-inspired dream sequence.
