Students Remember With Poppies and Poems

On Tuesday 11th of November, students from Priory Community School in Weston Super Mare were remembering those who have fallen saving our country.



In the lead up to remembrance day students created poppies and poems with messages to respect.

One Student, Georgia, 14, wrote a poem which captured the tragedy of war with her poem ‘Lest we forget’.  


At 11am the bell sounded for 2 minutes of silence and students across the school listened to ‘The Last Post’ and bowed their heads in silence.




Scouts and Cadets, who had attended school in uniforma, stood to attention as a symbol of respect for the soldiers
