Worle Community School Academy (WCSA) in Weston-super-Mare came together this morning at 11am to mark Remembrance Day in a moving and respectful ceremony.

Students and staff gathered in silence to honour those who have lost their lives in conflict, joined by army cadets, sea cadets, and scouts, who took part with pride and dignity.

The service included the laying of a wreath at the school’s memorial area, followed by a two-minute silence observed by the entire school community.

The event was attended by local vicar Reverend Caroline Deacon, who shared a few thoughtful words with students before concluding the service with a blessing.

Headteacher Mr. Tidman said: “It is so important each year that we take time to remember those who have fallen in wars past, and also those who continue to serve and fight in conflicts around the world today.

“This act of remembrance allows our students to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and hope that continue to shape our world.”
