Worle Community School Celebrates GCSE Success
By Schools Correspondent
Students at Worle Community School Academy are celebrating after achieving a great set of GCSE results.
Key performance indicators at the school continue to improve, with an increase in the number of students securing strong passes in both English and Maths.
Among the academy’s top-performing students were Oliver Masley, Ola Kartinska, Leo Huang, Martina Zeqaj and Oliver Turner, all who achieved some fantastic results at the highest grades.
The vast majority of students achieved the grades they needed to take their next steps, whether progressing to A Levels, vocational qualifications or apprenticeships.

Headteacher, Mark Tidman said:
“We are incredibly proud of every single student and of the hard work, dedication and commitment they have shown.
“We wish them all the very best for the future and hope they will keep in touch to let us know where their journeys take them.
“Many thanks also to all the parents and carers, staff, Community Councillors and the Trust for their tremendous support for the school and our students; it is these strong partnerships that foster success.”

Local MP Dan Aldridge was at Worle Community School to join students, staff, parents and carers in celebrating their GCSE results.
He said: “It was fantastic to join students, staff, parents and carers at Worle Community School Academy to celebrate their GCSE results.”
“A huge congratulations to everyone getting their GCSE results today. So many have worked incredibly hard to get here; whatever your results, you should be proud of yourselves.
“I remember the anxiety of opening that envelope, thinking that my entire future relied on it, and of course, GCSEs are an important milestone, but no matter what results you get today, they don’t define your future.
“There are so many opportunities, no matter what your results are, they can lead you on to so much - whether that’s college, university, work, or an apprenticeship.”
