A Cultural Food Fusion (By Aston & Jaden, Year 8)

By Aston M, and Jaden C, Year 8, Jill Dando News Correspondents at Clevedon School
After school on Thursday, 28 of us stayed behind to create vegetarian food that represented different cultures.

There was Caribbean ginger cake, polenta, flatbread, hummus, and a Brazilian sweet called brigadeiros.
We made the flatbread and hummus, which were among the favourites.
The flatbread was made from warm water, flour, and a little oil, while the hummus was made with garlic, lemon juice, and chickpeas.

On Friday, the food was taken to the Curzon, where it was served at the start of the performance that marked the end of Refugee Week.
