As part of the Clevedon Literary Festival, we visited the Curzon as News Team reporters to find out more about David Olusoga.

The Curzon was packed, and we got the last two seats. We were excited to find ourselves close to the front.

David Olusoga is a British historian, author and television presenter who makes history engaging and accessible.

We found him so interesting.

He is well known for exploring topics such as race, identity and Britain's role in world history. Through his books and documentaries, he explains important historical events in a clear way and encourages people to think about how the past continues to influence society today.

We plucked up the courage to ask him the question:

"How does the rise of social media affect the way we view history?"

He replied that it was important not to think all social media is bad. He said to use social media as a tool to give people information about historical figures and to help them learn about the past.
