Clevedon School Revives Solar Panels to Power a Greener Future (By Hector)

By Hector, Year 8, Jill Dando News Correspondent at Clevedon School
Clevedon School is refurbishing the solar panels on the science block, helping to brighten the future of sustainable energy in the area.
Mr Smith, behind the drive for the new school build, has announced the cleaning and improvement of the solar panels on the science building.
There are 20 solar panels that were installed in 2010 generating electricity. This is good news for the students.
We have been learning about solar energy throughout the year and we have campaigned for it through our Student Leadership team.
You can see in the photograph above, representatives from the Clevedon solar panel company – Solar Sense UK – speaking to students at Clevedon School to help us learn more about the solar energy industry.
We’re excited that we can now track the energy we’re saving through a screen displayed in our science foyer.
