Healthy Eating and Exercise can Boost Mental Morale (By Jaiden)

Jazmin Hyde, a girl from Lincoln, transformed her mental health by eating healthily and exercising. She became fitter and healthier in the space of just one year.
Her success was from “filling up on fresh foods rather than takeaways” and more exercise.
“There were definitely tough times, but I’ve had a hell of a lot of support around me, which keeps you motivated,” Jazmin explained.
She was motivated to become more healthy after being diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome).
However, she said that to receive any support, she would first need to have a healthy body mass index (BMI).
Freshly motivated, she told BBC Radio Lincolnshire, “I thought I need to get cracked on. I’m turning 30 and I've got these issues.”
Before her positive mental health transformation, Jazmin would struggle with her mental health and her body confidence.
“I would hide away. Nowadays, I'm walking out the door with a smile. I Enjoy getting dressed in the morning, going shopping. It's been a life changer for me.”
She now enjoys horse riding again and taking part in events.
She now wants to help others in similar situations. Jazmin has set up a group called Slimming World Group in the Moorland Park Methodist Church in Lincoln. “If I can help at least one person then it will be worth it.”
