Cupid’s arrow has struck — at The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth!

This week, the sanctuary’s four-legged residents were treated to heart-shaped Valentine’s enrichment treats, carefully crafted by their devoted grooms.

Sculpted willow hearts were packed with strawberries, carrots, bananas and watermelon, giving the donkeys a safe and healthy way to celebrate the season of love.

Enrichment is more than just fun — it keeps the donkeys mentally active, encourages exercise, and stops boredom in its tracks. Supervising the treats ensures the residents enjoy their fruity feast safely, while staying in tip-top shape.

Visitors can see the donkeys enjoying their special Valentine’s surprises — proving that love isn’t just for humans this February!
