Seven-Year-Old Gaming Sensation Hits 100,000 Subscribers on YouTube

By Jill Dando News
At just seven years old, Spencer, known to his rapidly growing fanbase as SpencerArcade, has already become a YouTube star, garnering a following of over 137,000 subscribers in just a few short months.
His achievement is all the more impressive considering he began his gaming channel just over a year ago, in November 2023, when he was still only six.

Spencer's parents, who run his social media accounts due to YouTube’s age restrictions and other social media policies, guidelines, and legal terms, are brimming with pride.
“We’re over the moon,” said his father. “It’s been a rollercoaster of excitement, and we’re just so proud of how much Spencer has accomplished already.”
Spencer’s YouTube journey began with a passion for gaming, not just the latest blockbusters but a love for retro games that he and his family feel is underappreciated by many young gamers today.
SpencerArcade quickly carved out a niche for itself, offering a unique blend of modern and classic gaming content that has resonated with audiences far and wide.
On New Year’s Eve, just over a month after launching the channel, Spencer reached a major milestone—100,000 subscribers. This achievement coincided with a double celebration: not only was it the end of the year, but Spencer also received his silver play button from YouTube in recognition of his rapidly growing fanbase.

“It’s still surreal,” said Spencer’s father. “To think he hit 100k so quickly—and then to have YouTube send a congratulatory letter along with the play button—it’s been an incredible journey.”
With his enthusiasm for gaming, infectious personality, and dedication to creating family-friendly content, Spencer’s channel has continued to attract new followers.
As of February 2025, his subscriber count has already surpassed 137,000, and his parents are confident that his popularity will only continue to soar.
“He’s always been passionate about gaming, and now that passion is paying off,” said his mother. “We truly believe he could reach a million subscribers within the next couple of years if he keeps up the hard work and continues to engage with his audience.”
Despite his online success, Spencer remains a typical young boy at heart.
“He’s usually quite shy, but you put a camera in front of him, and it’s like he’s a different person,” his father said. “It’s like game on for him. He just lights up in front of the camera and becomes this little personality.”
The family, based in South Derbyshire, are currently in discussions with a marketing team to create a Wikipedia page for Spencer, and they continue to manage the growth of his channel with care.
They’ve even begun to explore other potential opportunities for Spencer to expand his reach.
However, they are quick to note that this journey is more about fostering Spencer’s passion than seeking fame.
“This isn’t about publicity for Spencer,” his father explained. “It’s about celebrating his hard work and showing that with commitment and passion, anyone can achieve something amazing.”
Spencer’s parents hope his success will inspire other young people to pursue their dreams, whether in gaming or any other field. “If Spencer can do it, anyone can,” his mother said. “It’s all about having that passion and sticking with it.”
