Spanish Play Brings Language Learning to Life at Priory Community School (By Isabella, 13)
By Isabella, 13, Good News Room at Priory Community School Academy
On Monday the 9th of March, students in Year 9, 10 and 11 of Priory Community School in Weston super Mare were lucky enough to see an inspirational Spanish play - if they study Spanish.
The play, called “Un Ensayo Destastro”, was about a small Spanish town that was performing the play Romeo and Juliet.
However, things don’t go to plan as several members of the cast do not turn up, including the actors playing the star-crossed lovers.
To make up for this, they recruit people from the audience to come up and play some of the roles. It then transforms into a funny yet chaotic rehearsal filled up to the brim with : forgotten lines, props gone missing and meltdowns.
DON'T MISS:

The play has a light and funny tune, perfect for students still learning Spanish.
One student, who watched the play said:
“I found it very fun to watch and I really enjoyed it. I think it has also helped a lot with my Spanish listening skills as well .“
Also, on the 20th of March, french students from Years 9 through to 11 will get to watch a funny french play to help develop their french listening skills.
