Students Celebrate Earth Day by Capturing Nature’s Beauty (By Rosie, 13)

Every year on 22 April, Earth Day is celebrated around the world in over 192 countries.

But this annual event is much more than a celebration – it's an important day to raise awareness about looking after the environment.

At Priory Community School in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, we have celebrated by students sending photos of the natural wonders of life and why it is so important to spend time in wildlife.

English teacher, Ms O'Gorman said:

"This is the best way to express yourself through nature and get out into the wild and make memories.”

Our theme this year is wildlife and students are being asked to send their nature pictures to show how beautiful life is with just a single ‘click’ of a phone by the 2nd of April.
