The King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge, Somerset hosted a coffee morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Students, staff, and the wider community all came together to enjoy cake and coffee in support of this life-changing charity.

Students and staff at TKASA took part in a ‘Bake-Off’ challenge, creating cakes inspired by their subjects or their house (Quantock, Mendip, Brent, Steart).

House leaders and members put their baking skills to the test and created some masterpieces.

Mrs Kaschek, Teacher of Psychology, baked a fantastic ‘brain’ cake and the Maths team made numerical cupcakes which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

The event wasn’t just about sweet treats – it was a chance for the community to come together.

Mr Shepherd said: “It isn’t just about the money we raised this year, the important thing is that we want this to become an annual event – but raising over £500 was great!”

Mr Shepherd worked extremely hard to ensure the bake sale was a great success. He would like to thank staff, students, and the wider community for their donations and support.
