TSB Wins Top National Award for Leadership on Domestic Abuse Support
By Community Correspondent
UK retail bank TSB Bank has received the inaugural Everyone’s Business Platinum Award, recognising long-term leadership in addressing domestic abuse within the workplace and across society.
The award, presented by Hestia in partnership with the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse, highlights organisations setting a national benchmark for best practice.
To achieve Platinum status, organisations must show strong internal support for employees affected by abuse and demonstrate wider societal impact.
Applications are reviewed by an independent panel of experts, business leaders and survivors.
As part of its recognition, TSB showed a clear strategy, helped shape industry standards and built partnerships to expand support.
Its initiatives include Safe Spaces in branches and online, the Flee Fund, and collaborations with charities and safety apps. The bank has also worked to raise staff awareness and improve access to support.
Kate Osiadacz, Head of Responsible Business at TSB, said:
“Supporting victim-survivors… is central to our commitment… we are honoured to be recognised.”
“TSB has built strong partnerships and embedded support across the business.”
Patrick Ryan, Chief Executive at Hestia, said:
“Congratulations to TSB on receiving the inaugural… Platinum Award.”
“TSB has become an industry leader… shaping best practice through partnerships and campaigns.”
Alessia Bianco, Head of Everyone’s Business at Hestia, added:
“They’ve created a workplace where people feel safe, heard and believed… setting a powerful example.”
Domestic abuse affects people of all backgrounds. Around one in four individuals in the UK will experience it in their lifetime, with an estimated £14 billion annual cost to businesses due to lost productivity.
Since 2019, Hestia has worked with more than 250 employers, reaching over 700,000 employees through workplace policies, training and support initiatives.
