Air Cadets from 290 Squadron in Weston-super-Mare took part in CPR and Defibrillator Awareness training this week, learning vital skills that could help save lives in their community.

The cadets were highly engaged throughout the session, showing real enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn how to respond in an emergency.

Organisers thanked the squadron for the warm welcome and confirmed plans to work together again in the future, including fundraising for a community defibrillator.

Following the success of the session, further training is planned with Burnham and Highbridge Air Cadets, helping even more young people gain these essential skills.

There are also plans to work with Mikey’s World and the Max Dixon Foundation to raise awareness of life-saving bleed kits.

The team also hopes to welcome cadets to the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity Airbase, giving them a better understanding of the Chain of Survival and the role early CPR and defibrillation play in saving lives.
