Year 7 students at The King Alfred School Academy worked together and used their creativity to raise over £1,000 for Weston Hospicecare in a special fundraising challenge.

Each tutor group was given just £30 and tasked with turning it into a mini‑business.

Students worked together with their tutors to create products, plan events, and encourage everyone to get involved.

One tutor group launched a hugely popular pick ’n’ mix stall and an exciting Easter egg raffle, drawing crowds of eager students and staff.

Other groups made delicious homemade cakes and handcrafted bracelets.

Another group organised a Year 7 disco, and there was even a competitive football challenge.

Together, they raised over £1000 for a charity that provides care and support to families in the local community.
