Exciting news has arrived at Ashcombe Primary School as not one, but two brand-new adventure playgrounds have opened for everyone to enjoy!

The playgrounds were revealed at the end of last term, and the whole school has been talking about them ever since. As soon as everyone saw them, there were lots of smiles, cheers and excited faces everywhere.

The new areas include climbing frames, balancing equipment and spaces where children can explore and imagine their own adventures.

Many pupils have said it feels like going on a real adventure every playtime.

One Year 4 pupil, Kiera, said: “It’s very cool and exciting, and it’s really fun.

“The adventure playground is so fun,” said Max, aged 6.

“I love playing on it with my friends,” added Naomi, aged 11.

Teachers have also noticed how happy and active everyone has been.

The playgrounds give children a chance to work together, be creative and stay active while having lots of fun.

Even famous explorer Bear Grylls sent Ashcombe a special message to celebrate the new playgrounds. He said:

“Sending love and encouragement to the pupils of Ashcombe Primary School who are working hard to spread positive, inspiring news. Good luck and have fun with the new adventure playground and never give up!!" Bear

Everyone at Ashcombe felt proud and excited to hear from such a famous adventurer. His message has inspired lots of children to be brave, try new things and keep going, even when something feels tricky.
