Bristol Storage Team Pedals Past £8,000 Raised for Local Charities

By Charities Correspondent
Staff from Bristol-based Vanguard Self Storage have completed a 100-mile charity bike ride, raising £1,602 for two local organisations.
This marks the team’s fifth consecutive annual fundraising challenge, bringing their total contribution to more than £8,000 for South West charities.
This year’s ride took place on Sunday, August 3, starting from Vanguard’s Bristol premises. The three participating staff members cycled under the team’s name 50 Miles and Beyond – Part 5.
Along the way they even paused for a light-hearted dance break before continuing their journey.
Funds raised will support Brandon Trust, which provides services for more than 1,600 people with learning disabilities and autism, and Travelling Light, a theatre company that creates imaginative performances with and for young people.
Lakhvinder Singh, Branch Manager at Vanguard Self Storage and event organiser, said:
"Our legs are definitely feeling the 100 miles, but it is worth it to raise funds for two local charities. Hopefully we will recover in time for next year’s ride, but for now we are proud to support Brandon Trust and Travelling Light and the important work they do.”
Will McCullagh, Managing Director of Vanguard Self Storage, commented:
“We are incredibly proud of our team for always going the extra mile, in branch, on the road and in their support for our local community."
"Their commitment over five years has made a real difference, and as a company we have fund matched what they have raised every year. By doubling their efforts, we hope to give Brandon Trust and Travelling Light the strongest possible support for the vital work they do.”
