Evergreen Academy’s pupils join the Mini Police

By Education Correspondent
Evergreen Primary Academy’s Year 5 pupils have officially begun their exciting journey as part of the Mini Police programme.
Resplendent in their smart new uniforms, complete with hats and high-visibility jackets, the children are eager to make a positive difference in their local community.
Over the coming weeks, pupils will be learning all about the incredible work the police carry out, while exploring how they themselves can play a role in keeping the community safe, supported, and informed.
Staff at Evergreen Primary Academy have praised the enthusiasm and commitment the children have already shown in stepping into their new roles.
A spokesperson for the academy said:
"We are incredibly proud of our pupils for embracing this opportunity with such excitement and responsibility.
“The Mini Police programme not only helps children to understand the vital role of the police in society but also empowers them to become active citizens who contribute to the wellbeing of their community.”
