Groundbreaking Partnership to Advance Defibrillator Education in Weston-super-Mare

By Josh Bell, Charitable and Schools Correspondent

Donate For Defib Weston-super-Mare has announced an exciting new collaboration with Physiology & Simulation Teaching, marking a significant step forward in their mission to save lives through innovation and education.

This partnership brings together clinical expertise and advanced simulation-based learning to improve public understanding and use of defibrillators.

Among the key contributors is Richard, the Academic Lead for Bristol Biomedical Simulation, a well-regarded figure in the field of healthcare education and simulation.

The initiative aims to revolutionize how defibrillator education is delivered in the community. By integrating high-fidelity simulation tools with expert-led physiology instruction, the program bridges the gap between clinical knowledge and public readiness—enhancing confidence, competence, and ultimately, survival outcomes.

This collaboration signals a new chapter for defib education—where innovation meets real-world impact. Lives depend on timely intervention, and this partnership is raising the bar for what community training can achieve.

What’s Next?
The next Clinical Experts Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 19th June, where upcoming developments and strategic plans will be unveiled.
