Clevedon student leaders take their voices to Walton Castle

By Caitlin and Ava, Good News Room at Clevedon School

Towards the end of last term, we visited Walton Castle in Clevedon, where we were greeted by Carly and Margarita.

Margarita kindly opened up the castle for us so that we could present our work.

We were especially lucky because we had not been able to hold our annual Celebration of Voice event at school, as the school had to close because it was too hot.

The castle is beautiful. It is set on a hill overlooking the bay in Clevedon, and some parts of it are around 1,000 years old.

We presented in one of the round turrets, where Margarita was very welcoming.

She listened carefully to our presentations and thought of ways she could help us with our eco-quests in the future.

Ettlingen Students Visit Clevedon School
By Meg and Faith, Year 8, Good News Room at Clevedon School Ettlingen is Clevedon’s twin town. During their visit to Clevedon, we met our student partners from two schools in Ettlingen. They were also in Year 8, just like us. We wanted to build friendships and learn about

She also gave us some great ideas for a murder mystery, which we would like to write and film at the castle.

It certainly is a fabulous venue!

After our presentations, we had our packed lunches outside and played frisbee, giant Jenga or just sat and chatted in the shade.

Thank you, Margarita!
