Year 10 GCSE English Speaking and Listening: Edvocate Programme Speeches (By Isabella, 13)

In Year 10, for GCSE English, students are required to complete a Speaking and Listening exam. Students in the Edvocate Programme are chosen based on their outstanding performance during this exam.
They are then given the opportunity to perform their speeches in the Main Hall in front of their parents and teachers.
Some of the speeches included:
- Lost in the Smoke, a speech about vaping, by Nicholas Visan
- The Ethics of a Billion, a speech about why there should not be billionaires, by Adrian Grzybowski
- The Roots of Femicide, a speech about the killing of women, by Lara Siminiuc
The speeches, graded as Pass, Merit, and Distinction, were performed on Tuesday, 27th January.
