Business Leaders Invited to Unlock Hidden Stories and Get Seen Without Costly PR

By Business Editor

Business owners, entrepreneurs and community leaders across Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset and surrounding areas are being invited to uncover the untapped stories within their organisations — and use them to attract new customers, raise their profile and stand out.

At a time when many businesses are struggling to cut through the noise, a new motivational, interactive story-finding workshop is offering a practical, low-cost alternative to expensive PR.

The session will show attendees how to uncover their unique story, use it to connect with their audience, and find creative ways to reach more people without relying on costly marketing.

Find Your Story. Get Seen. Grow Faster takes place on Friday 1 May, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, at the Campus Conference and Community Centre in Locking Castle, Worle, just off the M5.

It’s a hands-on, high-energy session designed to help people discover what makes their business truly different — and turn that into powerful, media-ready stories.

The workshop is led by award-winning journalist Shane Dean — and includes coffee, fresh grapes and chocolate.

With more than 30 years’ experience in news and storytelling, Shane has turned everyday topics into compelling stories that secure real media coverage.

During the session, attendees will learn how to spot strong story angles, understand what journalists are really looking for, and create simple, effective content for press, social media, radio and TV.

“I believe there are incredible hidden stories all around us that never get told,” said Shane.
If more people could find and share those stories, we could flood the media with more positive news — while helping businesses attract more customers and reach wider audiences.”

Places are limited to keep the session interactive and focused, and early booking is recommended.Tickets cost £99. To book, email shane@thepurplesheep.com.
