Hundreds of Young People Gather at Everton F.C. Stadium for Mental Health Challenge

Hundreds of young people from across England and Wales gathered at Hill Dickinson Stadium this week to showcase projects aimed at improving young people’s mental health.
The event marked the national celebration of the Premier League Inspires Challenge, which brings together participants from more than 50 football club charities.
Run through the Premier League Foundation, the programme supports young people aged 11 to 18 through mentoring, life skills and social action projects.
This year’s challenge focused on mental wellbeing, with teams creating projects to tackle stigma, improve confidence and encourage young people to speak openly about their struggles.
Omodebare, representing Bradford City FC Community Foundation, said:
“A lot of young people do not have someone to talk to.
“We really want to build confidence as well as improving social skills. It is wonderful to be a part of this because we’re helping a lot of young people in our school.”

Premier League Foundation chief executive Alex White said the challenge gives young people “a powerful platform” to improve mental wellbeing in their communities.
Since launching in 2019, Premier League Inspires has supported more than 40,000 young people across more than 1,000 schools and educational settings.
